  2. About the Campus • The Whiteknights site has been described as one of the most beautiful campus sites in the UK. It is a peaceful green space not far from Reading's city centre and offers a safe and friendly environment in which to study.

  3. Old and New • There are both modern and traditional buildings on the campus

  4. Campus Tour • Let’s visit some of these buildings. • To get started, look at the map on the next page. Our tour will highlight some of the key places on campus.

  6. The main office for the IFP is located in Whiteknights House Annexe The Centre for the International Foundation Programme International Foundation Programme

  7. Whiteknights Library • The Library is in the centre of campus, and is only two minutes away from the IFP. In addition to finding books here, you can study or use the computer labs.

  8. Palmer Building • The Palmer Building is close to the Library. It is one of the main buildings on campus and contains lecture theatres, seminar rooms, IT labs and even a coffee bar.

  9. ICMA CentreInternational Capital Market Association. • This is a unique facility in Europe, offering training in stocks and shares in its dedicated share-dealing rooms. • The ICMA coffee bar is a nice place to stop between classes.

  10. University SportsPark • If you like sports or fitness you should take a look at the University’s newly refurbished sports facility right on campus: http://www.sport.reading.ac.uk/index.asp

  11. Halls of Residence • The Halls for 2007-08 are Childs and St George’s. They are both on the North side of the campus, not far from the Palmer Building. Childs Hall St George’s

  12. Whiteknights Lake • It is a short walk from Childs Hall to the lake. This is a view across the lake to the AMS building.

  13. Students’ Union • The Student’s Union has something for everyone.

  15. New Student Services Centre • Currently under construction, this new centre (next to the Students’ Union) will house a variety of essential services, such as the IT Helpdesk, Careers Advisory Service, and Study Advisers.

  16. Geography Building • The Geography building is right next to the IFP. We will see you here for the Welcome Week events.
