  1. Top 5 China Social Media Platforms Business world very easily accepted the Internet and even have started using it as a form of advertisement. With the world’s largest economy, China has come up as the country with the largest amount of consumers. Whether it is technology, fashion, skincare or food, China has come out has the country with huge consumer potential. What a waste it would be not to exploit this huge potential? Living in a technological world means that consumer potential can be manipulated through social media. However, the Chinese government makes it impossible for any foreign social media service such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and more to be part of its social media domain. Thus, without access to the majority of social media platforms that are easily used all around the world, the Chinese created their own Chinese social media networks – but with more users – which is why every global company needs to pay attention to these sites.

  2. Sina Weibo Chinese word for “microblog”, Weibo is the “Twitter of China”. With twice as many users than Twitter, it is used by the 22% of the population i.e. 540 million people! Unlike Twitter, it is far ahead and provided the ability to attach videos far before Twitter. Lebron James and Kobe Bryant are two of the most influential global celebrities in Chinese social media, and they are both active Sina Weibo users. Renren Renren is China’s Facebook. Previously called Xiaonei (schoolyard)”, it was supposed to be a platform for re-connecting friends from school. Just like Facebook, Renren has intended to always stay up-to-date in the world of internet and cater to the huge population of college students. This china social media platform has an 150 million registered users and 31 million active users per month. Douban Quite similar to MySpace and popular with various groups and communities, Douban is generally used for networking. It has over 100 million users and its most active users are intellectuals and pop culture junkies looking for movie, music and book reviews with around 60 million registered users and 80 million active users per month. Youku Youku is the second largest video site in the world after YouTube. It has partnered with almost 1,500 license holders, including various television stations, film and TV production companies in China. Wechat Wechat is a mobile voice and text app. With social features like “friend discovery”, you can chat with your friends instantly via voice messages, texts, or images. You can also create group chats to chat with several friends together. It has more than 100 million users.
