  1. The Essential Things One Should Know About CPAP What exactly is CPAP? Continuous Positive Airway Pressure or CPAP is a therapy and a treatment used for patients who suffer from sleep apnea. There are CPAP supplies, and the most common one is the CPAP machines that use the mild air pressure to keep the airways wide open. These are primarily used by those patients who suffer from acute breathing problems while sleeping. In a nutshell, CPAP therapy helps accomplish that the airways do not collapse when the patient is fast asleep. How does CPAP therapy essentially look like? Today one can quickly get hands on the online CPAP supplies. The CPAC therapy involves the use of a CPAP machine that comprises of the following elements: A:Mask: There is a mask in the CPAP Machine covering the patient's nose and mouth. It also covers a mask used to cover the nose and a prong that easily fits inside the nose. B: Tube: The tube is used to connect the mask and monitor the CPAP machine. C: Motor: This motor is used to blow the air inside the tube.

  2. The Usage and Purpose: Currently, for all the patients going through obstructive sleep apnea where enough air cannot reach the lungs, CPAP therapy is recommended. CPAP therapy is also commonly used to treat the infants whose lungs are still not developed properly and are in the process. The CPAP machine is extremely effective, as it helps in blowing air into the baby's nose that eventually helps to inflate the lungs of the baby. Whenever somebody is advised to use the CPAP machine, he or she will be advised to work with the sleep technologist that helps in making sure that all the settings that have been prescribed work in the best favor for you. Every sleep technologist's responsibility is to make sure that the machine's air pressure is enough to keep the airway open while one is fast asleep. Also, in the market today, there is a huge variety of CPAP machines available, and one should take the device as per the doctor's advice.
