2.1 Integers and the Number Line. What is an integer? Can you name any integers?. Whole numbers : 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, … Opposites : Numbers that are the same distance from zero, but on the opposite side of zero Ex: 3 (“positive three”) and – 3 (“negative three”).

  4. Integers: consists of the positive numbers, negative numbers, and zero {… - 4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, …}
