  2. Crime Statistics – Violent Crime 2013 =427 incidents of violent crime - population 50,433 2015 = 330 incidents of violent crime - population 51,132 23% reduction in violent crime 2016 = 301 incidents of violent crime 2013 through end of 2016 - violent crime reduced by 30%

  3. Crime Statistics – Non Violent Crime 2013 = 1290 non violent crime incidents 2016 = 953 non violent crime incidents 26 % reduction in non violent crime between 2013 and 2016

  4. Crime Statistics – Overall Crime 2013 = 1669 incidents 2016 = 1255 incidents 25% reduction in overall crime between 2013 and 2016 Overall crime was reduced by 16% in 2016 in comparison to 2015

  5. Administrationand Finance • Reduced audit findings by 75% • Received 2016 Moody’s Investment Grade (MIG1) rating of 1, which reflects strong fundamental credit quality with excellent liquidity.

  7. Administration and FinancePlainfield Action Services • Employed 180 youth and 20 adults for the summer. • Provided services for over 4600 families • Emergency food assistance for 3200 families. • Emergency financial support for 300 families. • Housing assistance for 315 families.

Division of Recreation • Over 80 programs for our community in 2016 • Parks scheduled for 130 hours of private and community programs. • Youth and Adult sports leagues 1,392 hours of field use. • 118 youth received free swim lessons at outdoor facilities. • 3 pools open for a combined total of 82 hours • 545 youth participated in Water Safety Presentations.
