  1. Surrounded by nature the castle dates from the thirteenth century and was the subject of recent renovation keeping unchanged its characteristic such as circular towers, battlements of the walls and sundials.

  2. At one time the castle was a true defensive fortress, the perimeter marked by a curtain crowned by merlons, which conceals and protects the internal structures and the three large courtyards, dominated by two strong round towers at the entrance, plus a massive central ‘palace’ surmounted by a square tower.

  3. There are three courtyards, two approached from the front entrance, the third from the back, connected to others by a hallway that goes to the center of the structure.

  4. Through an internal courtyard, which is accessed by a majestic stone arch, the entrance of the castle is reached. Inside the castle are large stone fireplaces, fine wall paintings and paneled painted ceilings in seventeenth century style.

  5. Within the property there are different residential areas with houses and farms used for the purpose of farming. Podere 1 is in a southern location with respect to the central core comprising the castle, this core is two units, one of which is currently rented. The farm is completed with a tool shed and an additional structure rural. Podere 2 consists of a farmhouse with attached barn and complemented by a structure with a wood stove and small front porch. Podere 3 This core consists of a farmhouse with barn, local tool shed and porch.

Podere 4 is in the vicinity of the river that separates its course with its grounds and consists of two houses, one of which is stable with barn and outbuildings to be restored, and a stable with barn and ancillary rooms. Podere 5 the house which is this farm, is complemented by a suite with a wood stove. Podere 6 is a house with a barn and stable with its portico, which need restructuring total. The land is pasture. Podere 7 to the north of the castle is an estate consisting of a house in good structural condition with stable and abandoned barn, complete with a ruin and a cottage with porch for equipment and barn

  7. Podere 8 is a house is in good structural condition, while the stable with barn and porch need work maintenance. Podere 9 The farmhouse and the barn adjacent to it with its barn in need of some maintenance. Podere 10 is served by a private water supply that requires maintenance, the farm consists of two houses in good structural condition, one of them with stables, barn and porch, tool shed with a well and oven, and outbuildings to renovate a rural destination, used as a tool shed or animals. Podere 11 is in a complete state of disrepair, this farm is made up of structures now ruined.

  8. Land The land amounts to about 570 acres with woods and arable land. There is a private lake used for irrigation of the fields.   9. Location The property is situated 50 km from Parma, Modena 102 km, Bologna 142km and Milan 152 km and Genoa 186 km. The nearest airports are Milan Linate 1 hr 40 minutes Milan Malpensa just over two hours and Florence two hours 20 minutes.
