THE COMPLETE GUIDE FOR ZERO PAINTS Zero Paints, also known as Basecoat Paint, are manufactured in metallic, solid and pearl/mica colours so that they can match the colour of almost car and motorcycle. The word base in its name depicts the requirement of a clear coat that is used for giving a gloss finish. How to apply zero paints? The first thing you have to do while applying zero paints is to remove all mould lines from the body or parts of your vehicle. This can be done with the use of abrasive paper or standing sticks. Most of the manufacturers opt to use a release agent, allowing castings to release better from the mould.
