Analyzing User Trajectories in MMORPGs: A Case Study of Angel Love Online

This study explores user trajectories within the MMORPG Angel Love Online through data distribution and state transition analysis. By examining the coordinate paths traversed by players, we determine similarities and distances among trajectories. Our approach includes clustering methods that reveal the underlying patterns of movement. The case study presents multiple instances showcasing differing trajectories, leading to meaningful insights regarding player behavior and movement speeds. The findings contribute to understanding user interactions and future game design innovations.

  3. INTRODUCTION • Each trajectoryrepresents a series of coordinate data traversed by an objectof interest in a given map or terrain. • Determining the distance or similarity between trajectories. • Clustering the trajectories based on a given distance or similarity index • Finding the meaning in each mobileobject movement.

  13. CONCLUSIONS AND FUTURE WORK • A procedure for visualization of the resulting clusters was given. • From trajectory data, movement speed can also be derived. The information on speed is useful for finding the detail meaning in mobile object movement.
