  3. The Audience • Grades 3 to 6 • You don’t need to address the whole age range • Australian school students • We are not going global just yet... • Groups of up to 4 players on 1 machine

  4. The Technologies we will use • Xbox 360 Console • Xbox controller • Windows PC (Running XNA) • Xbox controller / Mouse and Keyboard • Team Board Touchboards (http://www.teamboard.com.au/) • Windows PC with a Touch Interface • Basically a mouse interface • 2D • We want some really nice 2D content, not poor 3D • Sounds • Don’t forget them!

  5. The Learning Topic • Forces and motion Physics is one of the easiest things to put in a game! • We don’t want to force students to do math, read equations or calculate remainders • The approach should be organic, • The central concept is to support learning

  6. How can it be done? • This is your Quest... • A FUN educational game that can be related back to Real Science by the student’s teacher.

  7. Cooperation • The games must be playable by 1 – 4 people • Yes their skill levels will vary • No the weak students can not just lose • All players should be able to continue play, regardless of skill • What can you do to accommodate this if your game is a simple 1 player game?
