The story focuses on one specific couple who have to leave their two children to find work in the busy city in order to take care of their family.

Although China is one of the leading economic competitors, the struggles of its people to adapt to city life by having to leave their families is a journey many couples must endure. During this year in China, water pollution was at an all time high due to the billions being embezzled away from the sewage budget, leaving living conditions substandard. The Henan Province also reported toxic levels of lead in 1,000 Chinese children.
