  1. For our project we are proposing a business plan for building a waste management industry in the Metro Detroit area. Our research will include economic feasibility, costs, location, and management. There is already a waste recycling facility in Detroit called Capital Waste Inc, Introduction

  2. Q1. What is organic waste? A. It is composed of biological origin such as paper, cardboard, waste, food etc. Organic waste can be very useful We want to respond to a broader need to recycle our waste Lack of organic waste pickup

  3. Detroit’s deficit is an staggering $300 million in the hole. Bad economy!!! Unemployment numbers are at an all time high Many businesses are dying due to lack of profitability Automotive companies like The “Big Three” struggling financially Can Detroit support our business?

  4. Better service/products Better educational system Not poverty stricken (better looking neighborhoods) Citizens of Detroit spending their money elsewhere

  5. Fear of being attacked or mugged Detroit experienced 418 cases of murder in 2006 Detroit named of the most dangerous city by Forbes magazine 24 year old girl shot and killed by 12 year old minor 8/10/2009 Suburbanites fear of Detroit

  20. Make Detroit a cleaner city, and then bring more jobs into the urban area The machines and the hard working employees all turn the trash from the community into cash We believe in our plans and our methods to change this problem in the metropolitan area. Conclusion
