With a $200 million investment, the old Nassau County Medical Center is revitalized as a state-of-the-art Emergency Department. Once neglected, the department is now a leading safety net hospital serving over 75,000 patients annually, focusing on trauma care, acute medical cases, and underserved populations. The new leadership team and faculty are dedicated to providing excellent GME experiences and integrating EM residency with LIJ for better outcomes. The department offers a diverse case mix, research opportunities, and a balance of autonomy and supervision for residents.
