  2. Whatıs E-munıcıpalıty • 1-A municipality is the hand of a government locally. In other words, a municipality can be called a local-government. A e-government said to be the use of information technologies to transform government by making it more accessible, effective and accountable. And so is e-municipality… • 2-E-government is the use of information technology to provide citizen and organizations with more convenient access to government information and services and to provide delivery of public services to citizen, business partners, and those working in the public sector. • 3- E-municipality (or Digital Government) is defined as ‘The employment of the Internet and the world-wide-web for delivering municipal information and services to the citizens.’

E-munıcıpalıty ıncludes • Providing greater access to municipal information; • Promoting civic engagement by enabling the public to interact with government officials; • Making government more accountable by making its operations more transparent and thus reducing the opportunities for corruption; • Providing development opportunities, especially benefiting rural and traditionally underserved communities.

  6. Hıstoryof e-munıcıpalıty • Back to first half of 90’s usage of e-government started in Netherlands • First municipalities are inside New Zealand, Singapore and Canada for paying bills and getting address information in the second part of 90’s. • United States started to use e-gov in 1998.
