  15. How do you access and use EPPIC?Passwords Passwords are case sensitive Must contain at least 6 and not more than 8 characters Must contain a combination of letters and numbers Can not repeat from any of the ten (10) previous passwords Must be changed every 45 days

  23. Question: Do you need to go to the EPPIC site to view benefit balance? Answer: NO – the interface is Real Time so the balances in MI-WIC reflect current balances Exceptions: 1. A “Communication Error Message” shows when Issuing Benefits in MI-WIC or when viewing the MI-WIC Benefit Inquiry screen 2. You need to trouble-shoot a benefit balance issue with a client and want to view specific redemption information (i.e. when and where benefits were purchased or attempted shopping occurred) How do you access and use EPPIC?Benefit Balances in MI-WIC

The communication between MI-WIC and EPPIC is Real Time, so the benefit balances in MI-WIC reflect current benefits UNLESS: Exception #1: You receive a message that there was a Communication Error between MI-WIC and EPPIC! In that case,go to EPPIC to see if benefits balance IS THE SAME in MI-WIC and EPPIC. IF NOT, call the Help Line at 1 (800) 942-1636, press 1 and press 1.
