  1. CAC Meeting Update on Projects and Initiatives November 4, 2011

  2. New Projects and Initiatives • Ensuring Higher Education Opportunity for All – Replication Grant. Sub-contract with Temple University. The Center’s replication efforts will include curriculum transformation in the humanities or social sciences; faculty capacity-building in principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL); and instruction or co-instruction by instructors with a disability using the transformed curriculum in at least three humanities or social science classes.

  3. New Projects and Initiatives (2) • Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND). Partnership with UNH/Dartmouth Medical School to expand trainee opportunities in NH and Maine. Five-year grant funded by U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, HRSA, Maternal Child Health Bureau (MCH).

  4. New Projects and Initiatives (3) • Sustainable Implementation of Family-Centered Transition Planning for Young Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Collaboration with UNH-Institute on Disability. Three-year project funded by the U.S. Department of Education, National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR).

Continuing Projects & Initiatives (2) • Maine’s Expanding Inclusive Opportunities for Children, Families and Communities • Maine’s Inclusion Project: A Collaboration of the Maine Commission for Community Service and CCIDS • Training Opportunities for Personnel: B-5 (one-year extension through August 2012)

Projects: Not Continuing/Ending • CC+ME/RELATE Project Addendum (ended September 30, 2011) • Early Reading First (ended June 30, 2011) • Family-Centered Transition Planning for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ended August 31, 2011) • MRTQ Curriculum Revision (ended September 30, 2011)

  8. Projects: Not Continuing/Ending (2) • Maine State Personnel Development Grant/CCIDS (ended August 31, 2011) • National Autism Resource and Information Center (ended September 30, 2011) • Servicebot. Funding from Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation (ended June 30, 2011)
