  2. Giving a voice to European Aeronautics SMEs • SSA Funded under FP6, bridging FP6 and FP7 with the aim of supporting SME participation in FP7 • ECARE+ follows up on the ECARE project (2003-2005) funded under FP5 • Starting date February 1st, 2006 • 30 months

  3. General Objectives • A dynamic pan-European network of Regional Aeronautics clusters • A Pan European concerted methodology • A quality controlled resource for project co-ordinators • A better collaboration between the different players involved

ECARE+ TRAINING Regional Sessions (RS) REGIONAL SESSIONS • Aim: relay FP7 opportunities to aeronautical SMEs • 1 RS organized by new member of the ECARE Group • 2 RS organized by Consortium members ECARE Group • Half day event gathering +/- 15 local SMEs, supported by project communication tools • Focus on IPs in the open call • Template for Regional Session: Model Presentation & Minutes • Allowing SMEs to express an interest in taking part

MAPPING OF COMPETENCES ECARE+ TRAINING Capability Assessment Form • Contacts Details • Company Dimension • R&T profile • SME Technical Competences • IPs Expression of interests • Willingness to participate to collaborative project Role of the Regional Contact Point: • SME support to fill in the CAF • Confidentiality protection information (CNIL) • Control the Quality CAF content • Upload of the CAF on the ECARE+ website

MAPPING OF COMPETENCES ECARE+ TRAINING Database functions New SMEs entries • Identified through the Regional Sessions • Having filled the CAF • Uploaded by the Regional Contact Points (QCP level 1) • After reaching QCP level 2 SMEs can browse the database and identify partners thanks to the search function by key words (based on CAF)

ECARE+: What’s in for me? • ECARE+ embraces a larger picture in order to better serve SMEs • 20 regional sessions on FP7 opportunities to be organized in 30 regions • Regional support to describe your competences • The ECARE+ database: Database Driving role in partnerships between SMEs for research or business purposes
