2. Curricular practical training or CPT is a part of your curriculum. It is intended to give you experience related to the field of study like an internship. CPT can be taken full time and you can also have one or more CPT authorization concurrently. But if you participate in full time CPT, you are not eligible for optional practical training. Optional practical training or OPT refers to temporary employment related to your field of study with duration of 12 months.
