  4. My name is Petr Šiler and I am a head teacher at a small village school in Pavlíkov. Pavlíkov is situated about 6 kilometres from Rakovník and 45 km from our capital city Prague. Our school is situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, right on the edge of Křivoklát forest, which is very popular with turists who come to the Czech Republic. Pavlikov is a birthplace of the worldwide artist J. Andrle.

  5. There are only 40 pupils in our school. Thanks to the small number of children our school provides safe and calm environment with a family atmosphere. There are 3 class teachers and 3 main classrooms. Work at our school is based on teaching joined classes as the number of children is low to teach each class individually. The first classroom comprises year 1. and 2. The second classroom is divided between year 3. and 5. Only Year 4. is currently being educated on its own. We run an everyday after school club which is attended by 27 pupils. Our school is joined together with a kindergarden with further 35 children under the age of six. The school offers cooked homemade lunches.

  6. We are like a big family. Everyone knows everyone. We are all friends and we enjoy working together.We make sure that children are happy at our school and we try to give the children the best education.
