  4. Why Change • Swimming’s KPIs • Every Child a Swimmer by 2020 • More participants in aquatics • Current ASA plan not fit for purpose in Wales • Looking for a joined up aquatic plan for all ages and abilities

  5. What were our Objectives? • Child centred • Utilise technology and look at what kids want now • Link parents, teachers and kidsfor clearer communication • Consistent approach to swimming across Wales • Achieve key outcomes for partners across Wales

  6. The Process • Blank piece of paper • Flexible approach throughout the process • Take risks • Consult with a wide group of swimming experts across Wales • Look at all barriers as opportunities • Manage change

  7. The Plan • Put together initial briefwith SWOT • Research & consult • Present features & benefits to Swim Wales Board • Consult with Sport Wales • Communicate with the ASA • Total focus on the outcomes • Find and use experts and partners throughout the whole process
