Consults • EHR consults are to be used in-house such as Podiatry, Dietary, etc. • The RCIS is used for outside referrals • Consults are a 2 way street- one person requests the Consult and another person does the consult. • Consult orders can print to the department doing the service or a Notification can be sent to the person doing the Consult.

  3. Example of EHR consult • Quick orders can be made for ordering Consults. • Each Consult Service has to be setup in the EHR. This will be done by the CAC and the person providing the service.
