  3. Remember these?

  4. KODAK

  5. Kodak Story Kodak was the biggest picture film maker and printer in the world Steve Sasson, is the Kodak engineer who invented the first digital camera in 1975 Management was reluctant to embrace the technology feeling that it would affect sales of their film and printing business Kodak did not fail because it missed the digital age. It actually invented the first digital camera in 1975. Kodak is about 133 years old, it filed for bankruptcy in 2012

  6. YAHOO

  7. Yahoo Yahoo was founded in January 1994 by Jerry Yang and David Filo In 2002, Yahoo had the opportunity to acquire Google when Sergey Brin and Larry Page said they would sell-up for $1 billion. But when Yahoo's then-chief executive Terry Semel eventually went back to the reluctant pair to accept the offer, they upped their price to $3 billion. As Google and Facebook rose to become the giants of web 2.0, Yahoo floundered. It failed to piece together its own search engine. Yahoo Mail was overtaken by Gmail and Hotmail. Yahoo chat was enveloped by WeChat, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. People turned to social media for news instead of the Web Portal sites. Indecision, lack of focus and inability to change can be fatal.

  8. BLACKBERRY

  9. Blackberry  They didn't innovate fast enough. Apple and all of the android phone makers introduced new operating system and physical forms for their phones. That was a huge disruption in the mobile phone market and BlackBerry didn't follow. They didn't change their operating system to match the new offerings from their competitors and then they couldn't change the physical form of their phones. If half of your mobile phone screen was missing because it was a keyboard it would feel like you were using a phone from the past, like an old Nokia.

  10. BLOCKBUSTER

  11. Blockbuster The main mistake I think that Blockbuster made was thinking that what their customers were buying was the experience of walking into a store, picking up a movie and maybe some popcorn. What they missed is that their customers were buying the experience of watching a movie - maybe with some popcorn. Having a large selection of movies to choose from was important, but not the act of walking into a store. Blockbuster had setup a massive distribution network (9,000 stores, 60,000 employees) for the movie studio's product. This meant a significant risk if customers started wanting to get the product in different ways.
