  2. A critical part of keeping yourself healthy and fit involves taking active care of your mental health. There are many things that one can do to ensure mental health. • Get Ample Sleep • Sleep is critical for our physical as well as out mental health. It helps in regulating the chemicals in our brain that are responsible for transmitting information. These chemicals are critical in managing our emotions and moods. If a person doesn’t get ample amount of sleep, then they can start feeling anxious or depressed.

  3. Eat Well • Eating good is not just necessary for keeping our body healthy, but also necessary to maintain proper mental health. Certain deficiencies of minerals, such as vitamin B12 and iron deficiencies could lead to mood swings and make us feel low and depressed. • Try eating a balanced diet. If you believe that you particularly anxious or stressed, then you should better try cutting or atleast limiting intake of caffeine as it could make a person feel anxious and jittery.

Avoid Alcohol, Drugs and Smoking • Smoking and drinking are not things that are often associated with withdrawal symptoms; however, they could cause some similar symptoms that have impacts on one’s mental health. • When you have had some alcohol, you could feel even more anxious and depressed the very next morning, and it could get even harder to concentrate.
