  2. Introduction • Medical equipments must be kept handy and must be selected with care. These equipments measure your wellness or un-wellness and hence must always be of the top quality. • Here are a few medical equipments that can come in handy especially if you are under home - care. Most of the hospitals, nursing homes and medical care facilities too require these equipments on a regular basis.

  3. Medical Care Equipments • Blood pressure monitor: A blood pressure monitor can help you easily and conveniently measure blood pressure at home. There are various types of blood pressure monitors available. • Folding stretcher / emergency stretcher: Stretchers are medical equipments that are used to move patients who require medical care. The very basic folding or emergency stretcher needs to be carried by two or more people

  4. Nebulizer: Nebulizers are usually used for the treatment of respiratory diseases, asthma, COPD or cystic fibrosis. It is a drug delivery device used to administer medication in the form of mist that is inhaled into the lungs.  • Motorized hospital bed: Motorized hospital beds are reclining beds with an adjustable base that allows for easy movement of the head, foot and the bed at the touch of a button. They also have easy height adjusting capabilities that make transfers of patients to and from the bed easier without the strain of bending over. A simple push button could help operate and adjust the bed conveniently.

  5. Pulse Oxymeter: Pulse oxymeters are used to monitor the amount of oxygen carried through the body. It painlessly attaches to the finger tip and helps monitor oxygen levels. It is a very convenient to carry pocket device and can be used at home too. • Thermometer: A thermometer measures temperature. It is a simple device that records the temperature and indicates it on a Celsius or a Fahrenheit scale.

  6. Ultrasound machine: An ultrasound machine is used in diagnostic imagine. It is used to see the internal parts of our bodies which are drawn using ultrasound waves that are at a frequency higher than what is audible to the human ear. The echoes from these waves are recorded and an image is created. • Electrocardiograph: A thermometer measures temperature. It is a simple device that records the temperature and indicates it on a Celsius or a Fahrenheit scale. Electrodes are used to record the heart activity over a period of time. These electrodes are placed on the skin and the overall magnitude of the heart’s electrical potential is measured from various angles. This gives us enough inputs to gauge the heart health.
