New York City New York City Required HPD Signage The department of housing preservation and development of New York City referred as HPD made it mandatory to ensure dwelling buildings and apartment with housing management and HPD signs that provide information access to the residents. This type of building signage will facilitate the security of the residents and make them aware of the security guidance related to the building. Such regulatory buildings signs must comply with the law of NYC Housing maintenance code. The most common HPD signs are smoke detector sign, fire safety sign, boiler room sign and floor number signs and others are mentioned below.
