Why Upgrade? • SAFETY • Current state of roads make for unsafe driving conditions for operations • Roads currently unable to adequately handle truck traffic • Roads not wide enough to sufficiently manage operations • RELIABILITY • Most county & township roads have evolved • Only adequate for current use • Agreement to bypass frost laws • EFFICIENCY • More cost efficient to upgrade than maintaining & upgrading • Long term usage

  5. Minimizing Pad Size • Based on allowable field conditions, Gulfport builds pad sizes: 300’x300’ 350’x400’ 400’x400’ • Preplan equipment locations • Reducing delivery trucks during pad construction • Reducing truck traffic for FDR work

Reducing Gravel Sections on Pads by FDR • Assuming a 400’x400’ pad with 1,000’x22’ lease road • Eliminating the use of larger stone on first lift • Reducing stone from depth by 9” • With no FDR – Stone delivery would require 505 loads • With FDR – Stone delivery would require 168 loads • Reduces truck trip by 337 deliveries (67% reduction) • Maintaining road integrity with FDR

Reducing Stone & Asphalt Needs on Roads by FDR • Shoulder stone elimination by using safety edge • Eliminates stone in undercuts, allows widening • Asphalt may more cost efficient than an overlay • Can reduce initial costs • Significant reduction in maintenance traffic & re-stoning • Eliminates dust control traffic

Reducing/Eliminating Truck Fracking Traffic • Pump water program would reduce/eliminate truck fracking traffic • Lay water lines from water source to well site • Assuming an average 4 well completion: • Requires 2,000 truck loads of water per well…8,000 truck loads • Total reduction of 16,000 truck loads per well frack

  9. Reducing Rig Moves Logistically • Increasing drill schedule efficiency reduces road usage • Load count is reduce, thus, wear & tear on road reduced • Pad planning in logistical sequence helps with roadway integrity • Takes preplanning from the beginning • Current average rig move is 70 loads
