  3. Copper metal combines with oxygen gas when heated to yield copper (II) oxide Left before right after heating

  4. Hydrochloric acid (HCl) solution reacts with magnesium metal to produce magnesium chloride and hydrogen gas When burning splint is inserted into tube after the reaction is complete, a popping sound is heard.

  5. Copper(II) sulfate solution reacts with magnesium metal to produce Magnesium sulfate and Copper metal

  6. Sodium Hydroxide solution is mixed with a solution of Copper(II) sulfate to produce Sodium sulfate and solid Copper(II) hydroxide. Sodium Hydroxide Copper (II) Sulfate
