MOBILITY Activity - Characteristics • Activity designed for international cooperation • Institutions active in the field of research and development • public universities, public research institutions or other research entities classified as a research organization • natural persons • All fields of science • Industry, IT, Agriculture, Medical Sciences, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, Social Sciences, Life Sciences, Earth Sciences • bilateral cooperation • Czech research team • foreign partner team

MOBILITY Activity – Aims and Goals • strengthening the international scientific cooperation • assistance in establishing and developing contacts between researchers and scientists • support of the mobility of researchers working on international research projects • bolstering mutual relations between countries through scientific and technological cooperation • contribution to the increasing of general knowledge

MOBILITY Activity – Financial Aspect • Funding of travel and accommodation costs • Sending party covers travel costs of its researcher • Receiving party covers living expenses on spot • Financial support limits • One joint project max. 100 000 CZK/year (European) max. 160 000 CZK/year (non-Europe) • Short-term visits (1 to 15 days) 2 000 CZK daily • Long-term visits (1 to 3 months) 30 000 CZK monthly • One trip 15 000 CZK (Europe) 50 000 CZK (non-Europe)

MOBILITY Activity – Czech-Slovak Project • Number Theory and its Implications • University of Ostrava • cooperation with Institute of Computer Science Academy of Science of the Czech Republic • Foreign partner: University of J. Selye in Komárno, Slovak Republic • Field: General Mathematics • Category of Research: Fundamental • Aim: to provide a frame for a process of proving new results in the number theory • Total financial support: 96.000 CZK (48.000 CZK per year) • 2-year project (2012-2013)

MOBILITY Activity – Czech-FrenchProject • Involvement of Tau in neuronal functions of ghrelin: a new target for Alzheimer‘s disease? • Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry Academy of Science of the Czech Republic • Foreign partner:Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale • Field: neurology, neurosurgery, endocrinology • Category of Research: Fundamental • Aim: to study the effects of ghrelin agonist and antagonists that are potential anti-obesity compounds • Total financial support: 62.000 CZK (first year) • 2-year project (2012-2013)

MOBILITY Activity – Czech-ArgentinianProject • Magnetosphere-ionosphere-troposphere coupling and its impact on ionospheric variability? • Institute of Atmosphere Physics Academy of Science of the Czech Republic • Foreign partner:Instituto de Ciencias Astronómicas, de la Tierra y del Espacio • Field: Atmosphere Sciences, Meteorology, Navigation • Category of Research: Fundamental • Aim: to carry out a qualitative and quantitavive analysis of the magnetosphere-ionosphere-troposphere coupling and its effects • Total financial support: 320.000 CZK (160.000 CZK per year) • 2-year project (2012-2013)
