  2. Four Areas of Concentration Program Assessment Report Card Follow-Up

  3. CTE Program of Concentration Just what is a concentrator?

  4. CTE Program of ConcentrationFN290 – Student RecordReported in Yearend (N)Drives March Reporting

  5. Definition of a “CTE Concentrator”Secondary Student+Completed 50%+Enrolled for additional credit What is meant by enrolled?

  6. EMIS Manual says, “has enrolled for additional credit at secondary level.”Enrolled does not mean ‘scheduled’ – it means the student has actually attended the class at least one day

  7. Assessment

  8. FY2014 Career-Technical Education (CTE) Technical Assessment Sytem Matrix

  9. https://www.webxam.org You must have an account to log into WebXam!

  10. *You will need to upload all juniors and seniors this year because every student has to test! (Including all IEP students per ODE!) Hint: For your juniors-put the same CTE Program of Concentration Code on them so WebXam will upload them. WebXam won’t upload them without a code on them. (This is what I did and it worked!) Once they’re uploaded you or whomever can put them in the correct test they need to take.*

  11. Best Practices: List your juniors first with their grade level in the same CTE Program of Concentration Code as your seniors. List your seniors next with their grade level in the correct CTE Program of Concentration Code by matching subject code to the CTE Program of Concentration on the matrix. Make sure you have the correct instructor for each student listed. Only list instructor once for each student. To Proctor the tests requirements: Doesn’t have to be certified staff. (Use your aides!) Can’t have someone assigned who has a stake in the pie! Ex. Can’t be the instructor of that test or aide for that same program. For any Satellite programs taking exams-you’ll need to find a proctor who can go to that school and proctor the exams on the days they are scheduled. (Not related to the program in any way!)

  12. March Follow-Up

  13. How Does a Student Get into • March Follow-up? • Reported as a Concentrator in N • (not always the most recent N) • Reported as a Graduate OR • Reported as a Drop-out • (in most recent N or K)

  14. Questions We Hear I didn’t have any concentrators last year. Why do I have a March file? I should have a March file and don’t. Why? This student was not mine last year, why is he/she on my March file?

  15. Where is the survey form? • Where are the instructions? • Are there strategies for follow-up? • Is there a tracking sample?

  16. Why yes, yes there is! On ODE’s website Home > Career Tech > Data and Accountability > Perkins IV Secondary Link…

  17. Report Card

  18. Post Program Placement But Wait – there’s more math… The Math – Post Program Placement Surveyed and Placed Total respondents (placed + not placed)

  19. What is the Participation Rate? Did you find all the students and get a response? 95%-100% Letter grade increased one level 85%-94.9% No change to initial letter grade 0%-84.9% Letter grade decreased one level Status Known Rate
