  1. IPL 2021 - Wish I could be 'fearless' like him: Pat Cummins on Rishabh Pant World number 1 Test bowler Pat Cummins has praised Rishabh Pant and expressed his desire to be as fearless as him. The Australian pacer has called Pant brave, adding that he took the challenge during the Australia tour and did what others must not have imagined as well. “As a fan, you always tend to enjoy someone who is playing a completely different game than everybody else. They are fearless, you look at them and feel geez wish I could do that as well, geez he was Brave. So, I think in three recent series it was Rishabh Pant,” Cummins told Australian seamer Joshua Lalor in a show called ‘Morton Someday’. You've probably got 50 other players who probably wouldn't have taken the game on like that. He's always good to watch,” Cummins again added. Rishabh Pant, who was recently named the captain of the Delhi Capitals for IPL 2021, has been in prolific form ever since he returned to the squad for the Boxing Day Test against Australia last year. Since then,he helped India win against Australia and England at home as well.

Image source by twitter On the other hand, Delhi Capitals Head Coach Ricky Ponting has backed Rishabh Pant, saying that the youngster will enjoy the extra responsibility in IPL 2021. “I think extra responsibility is going to sit really well with him. He's that sort of a person that likes the responsibility, wants to be the main man and wants to be the leader, so I am really excited to see how he goes. We'll help him through, but honestly, I don't think he's going to need much help at all,” Ricky Ponting was quoted as saying in a media release.
