  3. 4 E-trainer– Valorisation of thebest e-learning practicesamongteachers and trainersin Europe: The project aims to provide products, information and services for teachers and trainers in the development, creation, exchange and use of e-learningmaterials. One of the main reasons of the project is to contribute to the quality of e-learning in Europe by building a sustainable environment that can express leadership in this domain. Teachers and trainers are on the constant need to upgrade their qualifications in order to provide qualitative and standardized training to their clients/students. The 4 E-trainer project will help teachers and trainers improve their professional competencies.

  4. Project Results: European 4 E-trainer portal in English,Polish, Lithuanian, Slovak and Latvian languages, which will present the results of EU funded projects, Toolbox presenting 10 tools for creating, using and modifying e-learning content, International forum to exchange information about the 4 E-trainer project for all of the partnership institutions, Show-me days that allow face-to-face consultancy in the field of e-learning concerning tools and processes, A bulletin which will give present information about the project, future plans, useful addresses, information about e-learning support in partner countries, and newsabout the latest calls in e-learning. Recommendations of Open-Source software useful in education. ~ Project continues as a Leonardo Partnershiptill 2011.

  6. EIPIL-PAN:initiative which aims to promote the recognition, validation, and accreditation of Informal Learning within the workplace. Target group of the project are IT and Hospitality sector companies from the region.Why informal learning?Informal learning in the workplace can be defined as acquisition of new knowledge, skills, and competencies that takes place through routine or non-routine work activities. Substantial part of these skills is not recorded in any way and remain unrecognised despite the fact that they are valued by the employers. In the course of the project instruments such as European CV and E-portfolio system will be constructed and utilized for the benefit of partner enterprises. The use of this technology will allow the participants of the project to capture informal learning and record their progress, which is an essential step in recognising the benefits of continuous learning.

  7. Identification as well as strategical and operational support of informal learning process in the workplace is recognised both as essential and beneficial to the development of a company. Macro and micro benefits for entrepreneurs and individuals working in a company with a coherently organised and implemented informal learning system include: • decreased turnover of staff by improving corporate cohesion • increased motivation within the company as the staff see their contribution to the company• improved staff performance, productivity and adaptability to business changes • greater appreciation of continuous learning, skill sharing and collaboration• a chance for workers do grow/develop • better prospects of promotion for employees
