  2. ADOPTION 15 God's will is a mystery. And each man has to seek out the will of God for his or herself, God's mystery. How do we find out? Paul, it was known to him. He said he didn't confer with any man, no flesh and blood… He had nothing to do with it. It was revealed to him by Jesus Christ, Who met him on the road to Damascus in a Light like a Pillar of Fire, and It called him. 60-0522 Discerning the Will of God

  3. Discerning the Will of God

  4. ONE.IN.A.MILLION 46 Let me give you a shocking something. "Not all that says unto Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter in; but the one that doeth the will of My Father."His will is His Word. We can be ever so religious, have great times, shouting, jumping in these meetings, which I don't want to be critical. But I have a duty to do to God, and that duty is to be sincere and to say what He wants me to say… And if I can't be honest with you, how will I be honest with God, 'cause I see you and talk to you. 'Course we do to God too, but we've got to be really sincere and honest with one another. 65-0424 Discerning the Will of God

  5. ROMANS 12:1-2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Discerning the Will of God

  6. HEAR.YE.HIM Now, I can't make Him show me anything. He doesn't show me according to my desire; He shows according to what His will is.There's been many things that I have prayed for, "Lord, will you just tell me how it will come out, so I can comfort the people?" He never say a word to me about it. Turn around and tell me something else. But He tells me what He wants me to know. He's my Father. And what He wants me to know, why, He tells me.Ain't none of my business, that's His business. That shows it doesn't lay in man; it's in God. 57-0519 Discerning the Will of God

  7. GOD.MAKING.HIS.PROMISE 21 And never will a church fail, never will a program fail as long as those who are in charge stay in the center of God's will. God's will is perfect. And everything will fall right into its place if you'll stay in God's will. But get out of God's will here, it throws the whole program out. 56-1209 Discerning the Will of God

  8. THEN.JESUS.CAME 11 Jesus knew what the Father's will was. And, what a blessed privilege it is thatwe can know the Father's will. If we will seek God, God will make known His will. I'd rather know that I was in the will of God if I never spoke to another person, then to preach to ten thousand people every night out of the will of God; I'd rather know the will of God… What a privilege to find our place and there abide. No matter how the devil shakes, what he says… stay right straight in the will of God. 57-0407 Discerning the Will of God

  9. Now, I can't make Him show me anything. And what He wants me to know, why, He tells me. Ain't none of my business, that's His business. That shows it doesn't lay in man; it's in God. HEAR.YE.HIM 57-0519A Discerning the Will of God

  10. Some Things are Easily Discovered with the Help of a good Concordance • ROMANS 12:17-18 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. • ROMANS 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Discerning the Will of God

  11. I THESSALONIANS 4:3-7 3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: 4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; 5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: 6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. 7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. Discerning the Will of God

  12. ROMANS 12:20-21 20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. PSALM 101:3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. Discerning the Will of God

  13. GALATIANS 6:1-5 1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For every man shall bear his own burden. Discerning the Will of God

  14. ELIJAH.AND.ELISHA And what a terrible mistake, that Jehoshaphat, this righteous man made at that time. He joined himself up with unbelievers. And any man that ever joins hisself with an unbeliever, "How can two walk together except they be agreed." said Jesus. Don't never join yourself with unbelievers. The Bible said, "Be not unequally yoked together.“ 54-0304 II CORINTHIANS 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? Discerning the Will of God

  15. EPHESIANS 4:27 Neither give place to the devil. • WITHOUT.MONEY.OR.WITHOUT.PRICE 29 I don't care how good a home a child has been brought up in, and how it's been taught to do right; if that child hasn't accepted the experience of the new birth, rock-and-roll music catches his attention just as quick as he hears it. Because in him is born in him by nature, a carnal spirit. And the power of the devil is so great today, till it catches that spirit of that little one. 59-0802 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. PSALMS 40:8 Discerning the Will of God

  16. EPHESIANS 4:28-29 28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with [his] hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Discerning the Will of God

  17. Discerning the Will of God

  18. Some Decisions Require a Different Approach: EVER.PRESENT.WATER 19 Now, last night when I got all the kiddies away, my wife and all, from the house, I made a commitment to the Lord God. And I said to the Lord God, "If You will bless me in the way that I go, I'll serve You. But You will have to show me where to go, and how to go, and what to do." So I committed myself to the Lord. "Wherever You open, whatever You do, I'll walk in that way. Until You make a way, I'll just continue on as I am until You make the way." And I asked Him to make it so clear that I would not be deceived then, for I truly believe that we're right at a crossroads of something to happen. 61-0723 Discerning the Will of God

  19. 21 You see, many times, people thinks that a prophetic gift, that God just says, "I'll pick you up right here, and set you down here. Now, you just go right over here." And He doesn't tell you all those things. If He did, then what overcoming faith did you have? He lets you stand alone more than anybody else. You all can come to me and ask for certain things, and He's never failed yet but what He's give you the answer. But I can ask Him for things for myself, and many times He just let's me alone, just let me go ahead and walk into it. I have things now that I have to solve out myself, and decisions I have to make… He just lets me alone. So I'm just setting as an orphan like this morning; I don't know which way to turn. So I have committed it to the Lord. Discerning the Will of God

  20. 1. Learn to Ask for Guidance & Wisdom When You Pray: James 1:5-8 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Discerning the Will of God

  21. 2. Conduct Yourself Now by the Principles of His Word: GOD.HAS.A.PROVIDED.WAY "Thy Word have I hid in my heart, O Lord," David. Hide God's Word away in your heart, and then God will keep that Word. God has to keep His Word. 54-0404 Discerning the Will of God

  22. PROVING.HIS.WORD …We're just afraid sometimes. We get to a place, we're afraid He won't keep that Word. He will keep that Word. He said He would do it. Now, we find that's true. He proved it. 65-0426 Discerning the Will of God

  23. BELIEVING.GOD And this world this morning is the spoken Word of God, and He believed His Own Word. And if you're a offspring of Him, and God is in you, He'll believe His Own Word. Though it can't be seen, felt, taste, or anything, He'll believe It. For God in you will believe His Own Word. Then you don't look at things you see. You look at things that God said. 52-0224 Discerning the Will of God

  24. 3. Must be Willing to Hear &Obey God’s Will: DOES.GOD.CHANGE.HIS.MIND 119 ... And the Word of God came to him, (Balaam) he sought the will of God, and the will of God spoke back to him and said, "Don't curse this people. I've blessed them." Now, there isn't a theologian under the skies that can deny this Message that we're preaching, but what It's exactly the Word of God right in time. God's a-vindicated it in everything that's been said or done. He's proved it to be right. …And he heard the plain, clean-cut decision of God: "Don't you go. Don't try to curse what I've blessed. Them's My people." But you know what? Balaam didn't like them people to begin with. 65-0418 Discerning the Will of God

  25. 4. Must be Obedient to the “Already-Revealed” Word: LUKE 16:10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. 5. Utilize the Counsel of Others: PROVERBS 13:20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. Discerning the Will of God

  26. JEHOVAH.JIREH 31 …You know, the easy road's not always the best road. The best road is find the will of God and then travel it. Find the will of God, no matter how hard it is, just raise up your hand, and say, "I'll take the way with the Lord's despised few, started in with Jesus, now Lord, I'm going through.” 55-1117 6. The Will of God is not always Easy Discerning the Will of God

  27. EXPERIENCES 10 And the thing of it is, that in my own nature I love to listen, and I like to help every one that I can. In doing so, I let my nature get away from God. Don't you see? My will of things is not always God's will of things. 47-1207 Discerning the Will of God

  28. 7. There is a Peace that comes with the right Choices: • Col. 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Discerning the Will of God
