  2. Materials Needed Everyday 3 Ring Binder ( at least 2 inches) A GOOD ERASER Assignments not done in pencil will not be accepted At least 2 pencils Ax + by = c Notebook Paper (no spiral notebooks please) Algebra Book

  3. Grades • Daily Grade: 2 points each day • Jump Quizzes: 5 points each • Accelerated Math Test: 5 points per objective • Accelerated Math Reviews: 100 points per quarter • Unit Test: 100 points each

  4. Daily Grades (2 points each) • Everyday a grade will be given for you preparation for class. Points will be deducted for incomplete assignment, incomplete work shown, and/or not bringing materials to class; paper, pencil, book, etc. • Exceptions will be made only for illness or if you see me at 7:30am the day the assignment is due with a reasonable reason for not having it done. My dog ate it is not a good reason. Neither is I didn’t do it. • Extracurricular Activities are not a reason to have incomplete assignment.

  5. Jump Quizzes (5 points each) When assignments are given they are always due the next day. We will go over the assignment and I will answer questions about problems missed. The following day you will take a short (5 problems) quiz over the assignment. 1 or 2 of these problems will be review. These grades will be recorded individually.

  6. Accelerated Math Tests(5 points per objective • These tests are from the Accelerated Math Program. Reworks must be done on any problems missed. • They will be multiple choice and must be finished during the class time. What is not completed will be counted incorrect. • I take great care in only testing over what you can get done if you know how to do the problems. • Retesting on objectives scoring less than 4 points will be given during class at times announced at least 2 days before the retest day.

  7. Accelerated Math Reviews Review work are assignments given over objectives that has already been tested over. This may me multiple choice or it may not. Reworks must be done on any problems missed. This grade is accumulative.

  8. Unit Tests • At the end of each unit you will be given a test over material in that unit. • You should expect 2 to 3 unit tests per quarter

  9. Grading System A+ 98– 100 C+ 82-84 A 95-97 C 79-81 A- 93-94 C- 77-78 B+ 90 – 92 D+ 75-76 B 87-89 D 72-74 B- 85-86 D- 70-72

  10. After School Homework • Students coming to class without their homework completed will be required to come in after school to complete that assignment and the assignment that is due the next day. • Students not completing reworks of problems missed on objective tests or reviews will be required to come in after school to complete the reworks.

  11. Absences – All Day • It is to your advantage to send your assignment along with your filled out scan card to school so it can be graded and returned to you along with notes and the next assignment. Remember, if your parents ask for assignment to be sent home and you have an ACM assignment out, I can not send the next one home.

  12. Absences: Part of the day • If you leave early, come late, or leave for an appointment during class time you are responsible for turning your assignment in and getting the next one when you get to school or before you leave.

  13. School Activity Absences • You must turn in or scan your assignment and take any tests or quizzes before you go. • You are responsible for having the next assignment complete when you return. • Failure to do this will result in a zero for everything not completed.

  14. Get Help and Ask Questions • I will have my weekly schedule on the board as well as the class assignments for the week. • Keep track of what you are going to miss if you know you are going to be gone. • Come in early or stay late to keep on top of your work.
