  2. Le Summary • Tally has been transformed into a pretty.  She really wants to become a part of the “Crims” clique.  Croy, a Smokie, finds her at a Pretty Party and leaves clues to her past life in The Smoke.  Zane, the leader of the “Crims” clique, joins Tally in a search for her past.  Zane and Tally split the cure and each take one pill to cure the pretty brain lesions.  The pills cure them of their brain lesions, however, they are affected differently.  Zane has crippling headaches, while Tally seems to be fine.  The Specials are suspicious of Tally and Zane and fit them with tracking cuffs, to spy on them.  As leaders of the “Crim” clique, they encourage the clique to consume caffeine and expose themselves to adrenalin rushes to combat the brain lesions.  Tally’s friend, Shay remembers Tally’s betrayal in the Smoke and is no longer Tally’s friend.  Shay leads a group of “Crims” and shows them how to cure their brain lesions, by cutting themselves with knives.  They are “Cutters”. • Dr. Cable tries to recruit Tally to become a Special.  (The Enforcing Unit in their society.)  Zane, suffering from headaches, goes to the hospital for care.  A tracking device is implanted in his tooth.  Tally and Zane use the heat from the tools in a  blown glass studio to remove the tracking cuffs from their wrists.  The Crims steal a hot air balloon for their escape.  Tally misses the jump off point and falls into a river.  She now has to travel overland to find “The New Smoke”.  She encounters a pre-rusty tribe living primitively in the woods.  The tribe’s holy man, Andrew Simpson Smith, guides her to the “edge of the world.”  Tally realizes the group is an anthropology project used to study violence.  Tally steals a hovercraft belonging to an anthropologist. • Tally meets up with David in the Rusty Ruins.  David brings Tally to “The New Smoke”, where she finds Zane struggling for his life.  The pill he took is destroying his brain.  Tally realizes that Zane’s tooth has a tracking signal that has been activated.  There is no chance for removal.  The New Smoke must flee.  Tally chooses to stay with Zane, instead of David.  The “Cutters” have been turned into new “Specials”. Shay arrives to capture Tally and inform her that she will become a “Special”.

  3. YE OLDE PROTAGONIST • Tally Youngblood is a perfect young teenage girl in a Perfect little world…

  4. YE OLDE PLOT • Yeah right. She Is perfect, everyone is in the town is, and is literally named, Pretty Town. But her life is about to change. She meets a perfect boy named Zane, he has this Clique called the “Crims”. They like to feel “bubbly”, in other words they like adrenalin. In this so called perfect world, when the whole population turns pretty at the right age of sixteen, when this happens, the doctor puts ”lesions” into their brains which makes the person to think “pretty-minded” or so they call it.

  5. YE OLDE PLOT • She is taken back, and is turned. Later some time there is a party at this old fashion building, made of stone, and has no smart walls. There is a boy who is name is Croy. He find her at this party, He tells her, and he tries to make her remember what happened before he turned pretty, and for times sake of time she does, and he tells her to go to Valentino 317, when they got there, herself and Zane, she found that the room they’re looking for doesn’t exist, and instead there s an elevator. They head off to the roof, and they find an elevator shaft and its locked. They see a high tower right on the same roof, and they realized this is a puzzle and this wouldn’t be easy. They had to climb this tower. While climbing Tally falls, she survives, but is more bubbly than before and makes it to the top before Zane, where she finds a key,

  6. YE OLDE PLOT • She uses the key and she goes down into the confined space where she finds a note and some pills.

  7. YE OLDE PLOT • In this note to herself, it explained she willingly let herself that she willing gave herself up so she could test a certain pill that will. But while this was happening they had already (Special Circumstances) turned Shay pretty, this affected the way she thought and didn’t want to go back with the smoke and instead made a deal (seeing as she thought she was being kidnapped) that she would write the letter and would take Tally back with her to lead a perfect life. When this was found out by, present Tally, she starts o get really skeptical, although she was before. < Not actual picture of letter (but I did draw it)

  8. YE OLDE PLOT • She finds two pills, and with an standing next to her encouraging her to take the pills, she gets scared and doesn’t want to take them alone so she hands Zane one and she takes one herself, they had to swallow, without water so their throats burned as the pills went down, • Later they realize that they can’t leave with their wrist bracelets, tracking their every move. • So they devise a plan to get the bracelets off, which involves, a lot of experimenting, and one night during bonfire, after a huge stunt involving a huge sky ice rink, which was to break and everyone to fall through. Zane started to have a crippling headache and he wants to go to his house, but he doesn’t want Tally to go, he wants her to stay and spend the night at the bonfire. When everyone asks what happened to Zane, she makes a lie saying h had to much champage.

  9. YE OLDE PLOT • But on the way back a special circumstances doctor, named Dr. Cable, though she tells absolutely no one about their encounter, because in their encounter Dr. Cable tries to convince Tally to come to special circumstances, and Tally fear stricken, still refuses, but then Dr. Cable explained it in a different fashion, which makes Tally question. • She stills escapes, and she gets lost in the woods, where she finds a pre-rusty civilization, here she is considered a god, he has to leave the city though, and when she finally gets to the ruins, that where she finds David and Zane, and the rest of the new smoke. David and Tally talk, and is explained to that, Zane’s brain is being destroyed by the pill, and that the pill she took didn’t have the cure, the Zane took did, the reason she remembered everything is because she wanted to, not because of the pill.

  10. YE OLDE PLOT • After a while, special circumstances found the new smoke. Before the raging hover board cars came, the new smoke fled but couldn’t take Zane, so Tally stayed behind, when special circumstances came. She calls out that she needs help for Zane, but when Dr. Cable came, she explained that, she had something implanted into his tooth and was programmed to give him crippling headaches, false symptoms to keep her motivated, that’s when Tally realized, that special circumstances was playing with her. Zane would have to be completely brainwashed all over again. Later, she figures out that, Shay was now a Special… when later she paralyzes Tally and she blacks out, she later has the same dream over and over again, and in the dream there is a gray dragon saying ,, “ Face it Tally-wa, you’re special.”
