M.U.S.I.C. (Music Uniting Students in College) is an initiative presented by Natalie Bingham, Katie Rowden, and Jesse George Marett, aimed at fostering community and connectivity at Salt Lake Community College. In a technology-driven world where students often isolate themselves with earphones, M.U.S.I.C. provides an opportunity to enhance social interactions through a shared love of music. By allowing students to vote for the music they want to hear on campus, we create a welcoming atmosphere that promotes engagement, focus, and a sense of belonging. Join us in making our campus a more united space! ###

What does mean? M.U.S.I.C. Music Uniting Students In College
Why Does Salt Lake Community College Need M.U.S.I.C.? Today’s world is filled with technology. It is providing ways for our population to exclude ourselves. M.U.S.I.C. is an opportunity for a college campus to reunite students and stop the solitude.
How Does M.U.S.I.C help unite students? When was the last time you were on a college campus? Look around and all you see is earphones, earphones, earphones! With M.U.S.I.C. we hope to prevent “tuning out” and improve social interactions! • Music helps students relate through the same interests in music. • Music gets people “moving”, thus creating a uniting atmosphere on campus. • Music helps people forget about worries and allows focus to be maintained while “in the moment”. • Music creates a welcoming, “I can do it” positive environment, which encourages learning.
How To Use Our Web Page Our Web-page enables students the opportunity to vote for the music they want to hear. • Visit www.musicSLCC.com to vote for the music for your school. • Each Friday students will listen to the type of music that was voted for throughout the week.
