  3. Step 1: Prewriting THINK ·Decide on a topic to write about. ·Consider who will read or listen to your written work. ·Brainstorm ideas about the subject. Create clusters,outlines, & lists ·Research your topic to get facts & information.

  4. Prewriting/ Brainstorm Childhood– write about your birth, places you lived, family, parents, brother and sisters. Hobbies and interests – write about your hobbies, interests, sports, music, and favorite past times. School goals- write about your goals this school year. What grades to you plan on making? Are you going to play any sports or join any clubs? What kind of student are you? Do you like school? Do you get in trouble or are you the teacher’s pet? What are your strengths?

  5. WRITE Put the information you brainstormed into sentences. Write and interesting introduction Write paragraphs for each topic four topics 1.Childhood 2. Hobbies & Interests 3. School 4. Student Write a conclusion paragraph Step 2. Drafting

Revision   MAKE IT BETTER ·Read what you have written!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ·Have other people read your essay and think about what others said about it. ·Rearrange words or sentences. ·Take out or add parts. ·Replace overused or unclear words. ·Read your writing aloud to be sure it flows smoothly.

  7. Step 4. Editing PROOFREADING                    MAKE IT CORRECT ·Be sure all sentences are complete. ·Correct spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. ·Change words that are not used correctly. ·Check your grammar usage · Have someone read your essay again

  8. Step 5. Publishing PUBLISHING                    SHARE THE FINISHED PRODUCT ·Rewrite your final copy ·Type your essay if possible ·Send a copy to a friend or relative. ·Put your writing on display ·Post your essay to a blog site ·Congratulate yourself on a job well done!
