  3. New Employee Training Plan • First day • Formal training • On-the-job training • Adjusting training based on timing of start date.

  4. Prior to First Day • Notify current staff that person has been hired. • Assign a department employee to act as a “helper” for the new employee. • Prepare work location.

  5. First day of Employment • Introductions to the rest of the department (staff meeting.) • Brief tour of the office and building. • Orientation by immediate supervisor.

  11. Adjusting training based on timing of start date. • January start time ideal as it correlates with our award season. • Summer start date means focusing on loan processing first rather than packaging. • Fall start date use samples for training purposes.
