…about our QD0 measurements: “CLIC MDI Meeting” on 27/01/2012, M. Modena
CLIC QD0 magnet prototype (with permanent magnet blocks in Nd2Fe14B): 1st measurement with SSW and RVW systems versus calculations Fig2: Magnet cycle (ramp-up to Imax and ramp-down). Fig1- Table1: Magnet excitation curve vs. computed values. “CLIC MDI Meeting” on 27/01/2012, M. Modena
CLIC QD0 magnet prototype (with permanent magnet blocks in Nd2Fe14B): 1st measurement with SSW and RVW systems versus calculations Fig1- Table1: Measured (SCALED at R=1 mm) integrated field components (from measurement done at R=3 mm). Magnetic axis stability: Between the measurement at different current (ramps) it was not necessary to re-align the magnetic axis; this means that the drifting of the magnetic axis vs. current is inside a range of ~5 μm . “CLIC MDI Meeting” on 27/01/2012, M. … what I presented at last MDI Meeting (on 1st measurement of 28 Nov. 2011): • (NOTE: These results are PRELIMINARY!) • A second MM run is ongoing n tese days. Magntic Filed components are also under evaluation with Vibrating SSW • They promise me (as a “Christmas Gift”) a more official and complete measurements report for next week. • - Magnet will be then also measured with Rotating Coil system. • First analysis: • Confirmed validity of the design. • Some missing performance to be understood (we have some ideas about this). “CLIC MDI Meeting” on 16/12/2011, M.
