'Desi' means Indian and 'crew' means workforce.
DesiCrew Solutions started its journey in February 2007, which is a unique BPO initiative that brings jobs to rural India.
We set up the infrastructure, recruit the local workforce, train them in project specific skills and bring them to the service level requirements of clients.
The first three months they spent on understanding the people, and working with the people in the rural areas of Tamil Nadu.
The next six months they spent on finding out what clients actually needed.
In one year, they found that people in rural areas are as employable as those from urbun areas.
In February 2007, DesiCrew was launched, soon, there were ten centers with three to five people in each centre.
Over the last two years, DesiCrew has grown to a 120 member team which offering seven different services.
“I realized that a good way to impact millions of lives is through the medium of a commercial business. I have learned three important lessons: A good team is the first thing one needs to put together. No matter what challenges arise, the idea is to remain focused and always have an open mind. ‘’
