Pressing On in Ministry: The Work of Eternity

In 2 Corinthians 4, Paul reminds us that ministry requires time, effort, and perseverance. We must speak the truth plainly and let the Holy Spirit's light shine through us. Even in times of fatigue and discouragement, God's grace renews us. Let's not lose heart and continue serving with hope and courage.

  1. Finding Heart 2 Corinthians 4

  2. It was “since we have this ministry” that Paul’s energy, hope, and courage had been taxed. Ministry is work! Serving take time and effort! But what Paul reminds us here is that being included in the work of eternity is mercy itself & worth pressing on for!

  3. Sometimes when we start feeling tired we look for loopholes and ways around issues- Paul says the Gospel is too big and important for that! We are to speak “the truth plainly.”

  4. We are lights ignited by the Holy Spirit of the Lord to be seen without a filter or dilution. God is in charge of His ministry in and through you- let the treasure be seen!

  5. Don’t ignore your resistance- recognize how God is being faithful and leading you through the toughtimes! Even though Paul saw that he was X, he also recognized that he was not yet Y!

  6. Fatigue and discouragement yield to resurrection! Grace is traveling further and being seen more clearly when you don’t give up. Let the grace that can’t run dry renew you on the inside each day- this is how to not lose heart. God is working in the mysterious space between you and them.
