  3. Types of Positions • Full-time (64-80 hours per pay period) • Part-time • Occasional • Per Diem – currently 10 positions

  4. Replacement Request Form • Required for all vacancies and new positions • Reviewed weekly by Administration • Forwarded to HR every Wednesday • Basis for Weekly Open Position List that’s updated every Thursday

  5. Recruitment • Internal versus external • Posting List – Internal Bids • FAMC Internet • Careerlink • Newspaper & specialty journals • General & specialty websites • Agencies • Employee referrals • Hiring Bonuses

  6. Candidate Flow • Resumes come into HR • Resume@FAMC.org • Entered into applicant tracking in Great Plains • Routed to Recruiter/Hiring Manager • Acknowledgement cards sent

  7. Selection • Interview Process • Best all-around fit for job • Qualifications • Work history • Skills • $$$’s

  8. Verification Licensure & Certification • Licenses of all regulated professionals are checked online before offer (interview) • Professional certifications (ARRT) • Other certifications • Reference checks conducted - Hirease

  9. Notification • Generally, HR will notify hiring manager when a offer is ready – contingencies • HR contacts candidate with offer and determines start date (or not) • HR notifies hiring manager of outcome including start date if offer is accepted. • Job requisition is closed and comes off posting list

  10. Post-Offer • Pre-employment medical assessment • TB tests • Back screening – CNAs • Drug testing • Complete background check • Complete paperwork • Badge photo

  11. Timing Issue • Takes time to complete our work • Subject to Joint Commission regulations • Must have new hire processed by noon of the Monday prior to the Monday they will attend 1st orientation

  12. HR Role • Facilitate best hire • Preliminary screening • Deal with candidates & agencies • Move process & keep it going • Serve other departments
