In other words—what makes this “newsworthy”? • 3. What is the point of view, position, or claim of the Matt Lauer (NBC News) and the parents? • 4. Identify one statement that reflects the reporter’s position on the issue. • 5. What information is provided to counterbalance this point of view, or provide some “balance” in the reporting?
