  3. AED Full Membership • Must have completed at least two semesters of pre-med coursework • Pledge Semester! • Walk-through of Med School Application Process • Social, Philanthropic, and Informational Events • Close interaction with fellow pre-med students

  4. The Timeline Medical School Year 3: MCAT, LOR, Primary App Year 1: Explore Your Options Year 2: Research, Volunteer, GPA Year 4: Secondary App, Interviews

Year 1 – Explore Your Options • Choose your major/minor • Consider non-science majors and minors • Meet with a pre-med advisor • Office of Pre-Health Advisement • http://dornsife.usc.edu/pre-health/ • USC Organizations • Interaxon, JEP, EMSC, PHE, Public Health Brigades, Global Medical Brigades, Trojan Health Volunteers • Clinical Volunteering, Shadowing, Research

HOW TO SUCCEED AS A PREMED • Stay caught up (homework + reading + midterms) • GPA: 3 A’s + 1 B each semester = 3.75 overall • Always seek help when you feel overwhelmed • SI, office hours, Center for Academic Support, fellow AED members • Get to know your professors • Meet with your Pre-Med Advisor(s)
