  2. The Lost Get Found. • The younger son was lost in himself. • He demanded his share of the wealth. • He squandered everything on pleasure. • Self-centerednessleft him alone and hungry.

  3. The Lost Get Found. • The younger son was lost in himself. • A shift in focus brought the lost home. • The son took on a humble perspective. • The son took a bold step of faith. • Humility in the midst of praise proved his genuineness.

  4. The Lost Get Found. • The younger son was lost in himself. • A shift in focus brought the lost home. • The father received the lost with joy. • He celebrated lavishly over his son. • He celebrated hastily over his son. • He celebrated unreservedly over his son.

  6. What does that mean to me? • Our world is full of people who are “lost” – trusting themselves to pull them through. • If I am lost, I need to realize my own inability and take a step of faith to come to God to save me.

  7. What does that mean to me? • I need to celebrate lavishly, hastily and unreservedly when people are found! • I need to ignore the skeptics.
