    2. A Day at the Zoo • Last month I went to the zoo and saw different species of animals. I took pictures of most of the animals that I saw. Now I would like to share them with you, so let’s go on a virtual field trip of my day at the zoo.

    5. Bears • They look cute but are dangerous. • The bears can weigh 3 times the weight of an average man. • Bears are the biggest predator in the forest. Click here for list of animals

    6. Alligators • They can weigh from 450 to 500 pounds. • A female can have 25 to 60 babies. • Alligators have been traced back 230 millions years ago. Click here for list of animals

    7. Komodo Dragon • Is the largest living reptile. • Can weigh up to 3 hundred pounds. • Its length can be up to about nine feet. Click here for list of animals

    8. Rhinoceros • Rhinos are herbivores. • The height of a rhino’s shoulder is 4 to 6 feet. • It can weigh from 1,760 to 3,080 pounds (800 to 1,400 kilograms). Click here for list of animals

    9. Zebra • The white and black stripes help the zebras confuse its predators. • When zebras have to migrate they put their offspring in the middle to protect them. Click here for list of animals

    10. Flamingo • Flamingos are born with white feathers and get their colorful feathers until they are adults. • Flamingos produce milk that their offspring drink for about 2 months after they’re born. Click here for list of animals

    11. Snakes • Some snakes are so poisonous that they can kill you instantly. • Snakes shed their skin and re-grow a new skin. • Snakes are so flexible that they can squeeze into tight places. Click here for list of animals
