  5. Information Technology Advisory Committee

  6. Information Technology Advisory Committee ITAC is primarily focused on items such as desktop computer support, mobile devices, email & calendaring applications, and other general user technology. The ITAC will generate formal recommendations as to how information technology infrastructure, services, policies, and support should evolve to better meet current and future needs.

Information Technology Advisory Committee • Committee deliberations are anticipated to include: • Identification of short term needs that are not being met and/or processes that are not working effectively • Vision as to how the evolution of user needs may necessitate a corresponding evolution of information technology services and support • Critiques of IT Department proposals as to changes in infrastructure, services, and policy

Information Technology Advisory Committee • One representative from each of the following areas • Academic Affairs • Administration • Student Affairs • University Relations • Library • School of Social Sciences Humanities and Arts • School of Natural Sciences • School of Engineering • Faculty Senate • Graduate students • Undergraduate students

  10. Administrative Information Technology Council • The AITC provides a forum for sharing information about administrative IT projects, application deployments, needs, plans, and budget requests. With a basis of shared knowledge, the AITC: • vets proposed projects from a campus-wide perspective, including the completeness, feasibility, and impact of proposed projects • facilitates leveraging and the sharing of application technology • builds consensus as to priorities on an annual basis • informs the campus budget process
