  3. Who are these people?? • who start a new business venture. • Can make something out of nothing. • Build something that’s entirely new.

  4. Some characteristics • Passion, perseverance, and persistence. • Empathy • Risk-takers • Competitive • Making mistakes

  5. Normal people ! I wonder where my wife is!

  6. Special abilities • Some have magical abilities • Over self-confidence • see visions

  7. Central Idea: Every living thing is a unique combination of nature and experience.

  9. Are they born or made? • Entrepreneurial leaders are made, not born. • Being persistent after college. • Many entrepreneurs leaders start at a reasonable age. • The experience they gain through education and time spent in a more traditional environment to their future success.

  12. Walt Disney • Having dropped out of high school at 16. • The most influential animator. • Disney holds the record for the most awards and nominations. • The Walt Disney Company now has annual revenue of $30 billion.

  13. Michael Dell • Start PC’s Limited, later named Dell, Inc. • Dell became the most gainful PC manufacturer in the world.

  14. Bill Gates • Ranked as the world’s richest person from 1995-2006 • Was a college drop out. • He started the largest computer software company, Microsoft Corporation.

  15. Steve Jobs. • After attending one semester of college, Steve Jobs worked for Atari before co-founding Apple Computers. • Now without the “Computers” in their name, Apple includes innovative products such as the iPod, iTunes, and most recently the iPhone.

  16. Steve Jobs died of respiratory arrest resulting from pancreatic cancer that had spread to other organs. • And listed his immediate cause of death as respiratory arrest. He died Wednesday at 3 p.m. and was buried Friday. • Jobs' final words as he looked at his sister Patty, his children and his wife, then over their shoulders, were "OH WOW. OH WOW. OH WOW.“ • "Even as a feminist, my whole life I’d been waiting for a man to love, who could love me. For decades, I’d thought that man would be my father. When I was 25, I met that man and he was my brother," she wrote.
