AoME benefits of membership include: • As individual members of the Academy, your medical educators will have: • a tool to demonstrate their skills and competence (through Membership or Fellowship) when they apply for promotion or revalidation support for career development • access to a network of medical educators and Special Interest Groups, and access to the professional standards to identify areas of personal development • international recognition; post-nominal letters MAcadMEd or FAcadMEd signify expertise in medical education • news and publications; including Excellence in Medical Education • (quarterly from October 2011), monthly newsletters, and updates • from the President • opportunities to influence policy, by contributing to the • Academy’s policy development • access to prizes and awards, and support for Clinical Excellence • and other awards.

  4. Information for prospective individual members sponsored by Corporate Partners Examples of first year subscription rates for individual applicants sponsored by a Corporate Partner are detailed below. Corporate Partners will be asked to confirm that they are sponsoring any membership applications claiming the reduced rates. In future years (beginning on 01 January each year) members are required to pay the full year’s subscription (£90 for Associates and £225 for Members). Council has agreed that subscription rates should be frozen at these rates until 2013.
