GEB Rationale forSustainable Infrastructure (SI) In order to sustain human living conditions we need to • Reduce CO2 emissions by at least 80% in OECD countries until 2050 • Create low-carbon growth in poor regions • Reduce localised pollutants • Secure energy supply and conserve resources • Expande social and economical capability. Sustainable Infrastructure (SI) serves all these purposes.
