Course Description: This course aims to help students improve their understanding of English tourism. Classes will consist of various activities requiring students to listen, practice and present for a variety of topics.

Mar 1 English Tourism Unit 1 (pg 4 - 5) Dealing with incoming calls:-Receiving incoming calls-Taking messages-Dealing with requests Structures:-Offers: Can/Could, Would you like to, I’ll-Requests:I’d like to, Can/Could Activity – Work with a partner and pretend you want to book a room in a hotel. One person is the customer and the other is the employee at the front desk.

Mar 8 English Tourism Unit 2 (pg 6 – 7) Customer information:-Giving information to customers-Answering questions about hotel facilities and services Structures:-Is there?/Are there?, There’s/There are-Prepositions of location Activity – Work with a partner and think of a hotel you know. Describe it in detail using at least 60 words or more. Provide the location, general facilities, room facilities and services.

The customer is in a bar and wants to order drinks for three friends. The server must take the order and ask appropriate questions. Use the information provide on pg 17.

Use the information provided on pg 27.
