  2. Introduction • New presentations • select presentation design or presentations • select a slide layout for each slide (to change later on, select format, slide layout) • adding slides (click on new slide symbol or Insert, new slide) • views: slide, outline, slide sorter, slide show

  3. Working in bullet charts • using the “Click to add ...” • to add a bullet press return. • to add a new line in the same bullet use shift-enter. • to create sub-bullets: press tab (to promote a sub-bullet press shift-tab). • to change attributes: highlight, use top and bottom bars.

  4. Basic Graphics • Select as slide layout: title only. • AutoShapes, lines, square, circle in the bottom toolbar. • Also in the bottom toolbar: fill color, line color, styles (line, dash, arrow), shade, 3-D. • Insert Pictures: Clip-Arts and from file.

  5. Others • Tables: you can use Word (recommended), Excel and Access to create tables. Use the W and X table icons to do it. • Organization Charts: Insert, Picture, Organization Chart and create it. • Charts: click Insert Chart, or import from Lotus or Excel (worksheet or chart). • Saving as HTML (Web presentation). • Use extensively on-line Help.

  6. Organize Your Presentation • Follow a logical progression. • Divide your presentation into clear segments. • Maintain focus throughout. • Narrow the amount of material covered. • Have a logical conclusion.
